We’re not sure how many eggs there will be – those cute laying hens don’t react well to the hot hot weather that we had last week
Those of you that didn’t get raspberries last week will have them in your containers this week.
August will be BACON month—numerous recipes featuring BACON – the other food group!  There will be a coupon for The Country Smokehouse next week that you can print off .

*Most of you have said you would still like to get chard and kale…IF NOT – let us know…
*Pepper labeling:  
green sticker means sweet (even if the pepper is yellow, red, purple or polka-dotted); any peppers not labeled will be sweet.
yellow means "in-between", such as spicy or moderately zippy (as in pepperoncini, ancho/poblano, some Italian frying types, etc.) 
red means hot (as in jalapeno, cayenne, New Mex/Anaheim, etc.--these peppers may be green, yellow, or red)

When it comes to yellow or red stickers, it is best to taste first and add gradually to your recipe, as peppers can vary considerably in their pungency, even from the same plant.  To remove heat, take out the seeds and inside whitish membranes--which is where the heat is concentrated.
